La Fromagerie: Their secret gin martini cocktail recipe

We are shameless in stealing this recipe from La Fromagerie. As well as being the best cheese shop in London, La Fromagerie do fantastic events in the evening, where you sit in the candle light shop, being passed gastronomic delights. This cocktail was served at one of those events.
As with all things great, simplicity rules but the greatness lies in the detail. In this case Pat and Sarah found a fantastic English vermouth made in Highgate from a micro distillers, that's what just makes this cocktail . Recipe below, so you can make this at home or we will be serving you this on the night as you walk in:

Into a chilled glass, pour in 1 shot of sacred gin vermouth, 2 shots of Gin directly from the freezer and two shots of cinzano. Take a lemon and pare a long slice of zest, avoiding the pith. Hold it over the glass, pith side upwards and squeeze widthways so the surface of the drink is coated in oil.
Rub the rim of the glass with the zest and drop into the martini.
