IPA brewed in Bermondsey

We have chosen an Indian Pale Ale to be the beer for the evening. Originally IPA was brewed in London to be shipped to the British Troops in India, and making it a light beer full of fruit hop flavours to go with the hot climate (particularly since the majority of hops then were grown just down the road in Kent), is a great bit of history. Because of its intense hop flavour of tropical fruit with a citrus and pepper spice back note, it is brilliant to wash down with the cured meats.
This IPA is brewed at the Kernel Brewery in Bermondsey, sited on the doorstep of the original breweries those 100 years ago.
